Do children deserve apologies from parents?

Parents aren't perfect beings. They make mistakes and hurt their child too. At those times, a single heartfelt apology can rectify that mistake, mend the child's wounds and everything goes back to normal. But when parents don't apologize for their mistakes, and prefer not to talk about it, children lose respect and the lack of communication severes the bond between them. Unsaid apologies are like small leaks that can sink a ship. Ignoring a problem doesn't solve it. Making children feel their emotions aren't significant will make them put the blame on themselves and drown in their own misery. So own your feelings, explain your situation like why you yelled at them, and genuinely ask for forgiveness. Show them it's okay to make mistakes and one must take accountability for their actions. They see and learn from you. After all, you are their role model and super hero.

The Call of the Void - Do you hear it?

Many people have experienced an eerie impulse known as "l’appel du vide" or the "Call of the Void." It’s that sudden urge to jump when standing at the top of a building or to swerve off the road while driving. I first encountered this feeling during the Ranger ride at MGM. As the two arms of the Kamikaze Ranger swayed back and forth, I felt a temptation to fall. Suspended in the air, I imagined one of the arms breaking, leading to instant death. I wondered how free it would feel to plunge into the abyss. When I returned home, I googled this strange feeling and found that it's a common phenomenon. We are always told to "shine like the sun". That is to become the brightest, the boldest, the best in the crowd. To be the main character. To own the center of the stage.
