Why should I fit your glass shoes? 

I'm not Cinderella. 

Why should I be the fairest in the world? 

I'm not Snow White. 

Why should I lose my voice? 

I'm not Ariel. 

Why should I be kissed without consent? 

I'm not Aurora. 

Why should I be kidnapped? 

I'm not Persephone. 

Why should I be disrobed? 

I'm not Draupadi. 

Why should I prove my chastity? 

I'm not Sita. 

Why should I be imprisoned? 

I'm not Belle. 

Why should I be locked up? 

I'm not Rapunzel. 

Why should I be the cause of all evils? 

I'm not Pandora. 

Why should I wait to be saved? 

I'm not a Princess. 

Enough waiting for a Prince Charming, 

Time to be a Regal Darling! 

Girls don't need a hero to rescue them, 

They need a comrade to fight beside them.

Jonathan Livingston Seagull written by Richard Bach changes lives.. Like it did mine.  This book resonated with me more than anything else in this mundane world. Before, I was one of the other gulls who didn't bother to learn more than the simplest facts of flight. I only cared about surviving everyday without purpose like a machine - just getting through a day, from shore to food and back again.  Only when I was stuck in a disaster did I realise the importance of flying. "Into The Magic Shop" written by James R Doty is a guidebook for personal growth. This book tells the story of a hopeless young boy Jim who loves magic. Jim lives with his alcoholic father and depressed mother and grows up without parental love. One day, he enters a magic shop and meets a kind woman named Ruth who takes him in and teaches him the most powerful magic which are lessons of compassion, mindfulness, calming yourself, manifestation, opening your heart, etc. This magic shop becomes his comfort place & saves him. Her magic allows him to decide for himself who he wants to be rather than letting those around him define his identity and worth. Ruth's tips to him are given at the end of each chapter for us readers to follow it.  As Jim grows up, he drifts away from the lessons he learnt and becomes a egotistical neurosurgeon.
