My Friend, Solitude

In solitude, my thoughts freely roam,

Alone by choice, I embrace the peace,

Solitude, my gentle friend,

Faithfully tends to all my wounds.

No fear of causing pain,

No need for pretense,

In solitude's warm embrace,

I am wholly free.

Loneliness can be hard to bear,

But Solitude draws me near,

Here, I am never truly alone.

Companionship holds a sweet essence,

Yet in Solitude, I find my true presence.

Like the moon, I shine in solitude.
